The Process
1. PRODUCT INSPECTION
Initial inspection and disassembly (if required) of donor product. Chrome-plated metal or ABS, polished stainless steel and polished aluminium are all suitable.
2. PRODUCT PREPARATION
The product is thoroughly cleaned and de-greased before starting the re-finishing process to ensure maximum adhesion and de-ionised to remove static from the surface.
3. APPLY ETCH PRIMER
We apply our unique translucent “etch” primer to the polished surface. This primer bonds securely to the surface, preparing it for the dye.
4. INFUSER COLOUR
Once the primer is applied, we infuse special dyes directly into the surface. The primer absorbs these dyes, changing the product’s colour to your selected shade.
5. FINAL FINISH
The product is then carefully cured (dried) using a combination of infrared light and low-level heat, following a precise process to ensure the perfect result.
